Carnaby Street is getting a dose of the future this week. Beauty Pie has opened the doors to its first-ever Youthbomb London Lab - an immersive pop-up celebrating the launch of its new Youthbomb Extreme Retinal Triple Renewal Serum.

For the uninitiated, Beauty Pie was founded by serial entrepreneur Marcia Kilgore (the brains behind Bliss, FitFlop and Soap & Glory) to flip the beauty industry’s mark-up-heavy model on its head. By cutting out the smoke-and-mirrors of luxury pricing, the brand has built a loyal following for its insider access to lab-grade skincare and makeup at members-only prices.

With the Carnaby Street takeover, Kilgore and her team are making the science behind their most potent formula yet feel a little less behind-closed-doors and a lot more like a London moment we all need to experience.

Part science lab, part time machine, the three-day experience (11–13 September) takes visitors through past, present and future with three immersive bathroom installations, showcasing the cult Youthbomb collection in a new light. At the heart of it is the brand’s most ambitious formula yet: a Retinoid serum designed in collaboration with US dermatologist Dr Mamina Turegano.

The product itself is billed as a triple-threat, blending Granactive Retinoid, L-Retinal and Bio-Bakuchiol, engineered to give retinol-level results without the prescription. Clinical trials claim big gains in just four weeks, from smoother texture to visible lifting. User trials also point to firmer, more even skin within a fortnight!
